Periodization

In “Periodization A Guide to Volume & Intensity of Training & Competition”, Golf Canada writes “Simply put, periodization is time management. Periodization involves creating very detailed training, competition and recovery plans in an effort to ensure that an athlete “peaks” at the right time.”

In golf, scheduling your training is incredibly important, as the technique learning phases are most successful without interruption from performance or skill phases. In other words, it’s tough to change your swing mid-season.

Creating this plan is a unique process for each golfer, and is designed during the first few sessions of the Winter Coaching Program.

We have access to an indoor teaching studio, heated driving range stalls, an indoor putting area, technologies such as Trackman and Boditrak, in addition to video swing analysis, to help you build the technically sound swing you can rely on.

The coaching system (see link above), is the most effective way to accomplish this. Let’s give your game a chance this year and work the swing technique in December, January and February, so we can move to performance and skill in March and April leading up to the golf season.
